Derthona Export Consortium

Derthona Export Consortium includes the main producers of the agro-industrial sector of the area around Tortona to encourage the export of their products and to promote their quality worldwide.

The Tortona territory is part of Southeastern Piedmont under the province of Alessandria and it is located in a very central strategic position, which links it to the main cities of Northern Italy. In fact, you can easily and quickly get in Tortona by railway and motorway in less than one hour from Milan and Genoa as well as from Turin and Piacenza and, in about one hour and a half, from Malpensa international airport.

The Tortona territory is a border land with a millenary history, where you can easily perceive the influence of the traditions and eno-gastronomical culture of Piedmont, Lombardy, Liguria and Emilia Romagna, carefully revised with originality and ability. This is mainly an hilly land, with an important wine growing and producing tradition of white and red DOC wines such as Cortese, Dolcetto, Barbera, besides the high-quality of agro-industrial productions represented by bread, cold cuts, vinegar, cakes (baci di dama) and the delicious jams made of the fruit of the territory (peaches, strawberries, apricots, cherries).
